"Cinema paradiso" made him famous in one night. Great movie! Although his later movies were not as popular as "Cinema pardiso", I think "Malena" is just as good. What amazed me the most is the pure sentimental emotions his films delivered. Influenced by the most sentimental Chinese literature, it was the first time I was sentimentally moved by a non-Chinese film.

Ennio Morricone produced the music for all his movies. All is great. The most impressive one is the piano Tim Roth played when he watched a girl walking on the boat in "The legend of 1900".

When I was watching his films, same thought kept emerging in my head: wow, people can behave like this! His films are like a special food supplement that I don't have in my diet, while I need it every so often. The roles in his films are incredibly straightforward. They do/say what they want to do/say. Long gone the time I was like this.

"Wild reeds" is my favorite.

We watched these movies time by time along this year. We were simply impressed and amazed.

After we watched "the passenger", I got depressed since I know I could never make a film like this. We both agreed that it is the best among his works, and one of best films in the world.

"The Adventure", "The Night", "The Eclipse" are also top movies.

"Zabriskie point" reminded us the time when my parents visited, we drove across Death Valley National Park on the way from Yosemite to Las Vegas in one day. We shouldn't have done that much of traveling in one day. It was very hot.
